The Innovact Trophy
Innovact selected a young innovative enterprise for its “favourite” award for its development potential from among the young innovative enterprises participating in Innovact. The selection criteria were the quality of the team, the degree of innovation, the market qualities, the state of progress of the project and its ambition.
This year, the partners (Technopole Made in Reims, Multeam and Reims▪Epernay CCI) awarded the €6,000 Innovact Award to Sébastien Perrin and Sébastien Giraudier of MA.I.A Woundcare (Neuville-sur-Oise - 95), which designs, develops and commercialises innovative therapeutic wound dressings. These enable good cicatrisation of chronic long-term wounds, which could otherwise lead to complications. For example, this could involve wounds in diabetic patients, which, if not properly treated, could lead to amputation in certain cases. They also help to reduce the pain suffered by patients. This innovation is currently in the patent process and should be commercialised in the hospital sector from 2010.
